Welcome to the celebration for Willow Traders 3rd Anniversary! I got called away this weekend so am hosting the challenges on my blog instead of the willowtraders forum, as typepad allows to me to "postdate" entries.

One winner will be chosen to recieve a Grand Prize package containing over 40.00 worth of scrapbooking goodies ( a kit and more!)

Challenge  numero uno: It comes from DT member Emeline Ng

Use an altered photo to create your layout! Black and white with a spot of color, soft focus, radial blur (added in photoshop) add a wash, change some color... whatever delightful way you want to alter your photo.

Here is Emelines take on this challenge. She turned her photo to Black and White but left her childs shirt orange. How cute is that??

Got a new laptop! and am really enjoying it! Except typing on my lap is harder than i thought it would be. But I sat on my favorite chair this morning as Ty watched the Backyardigans and I checked my favorite blogs and drank my tea..and it was glorious!

It has a built in webcam which is kinda neat, Ty keep asking to see Tyson on the screen. One day I might just introduce you to him :) Made a bunch of cupcakes today, though I knew I shouldn't have. I have a gather, a scrapbookapalooza, on Sunday I'll be making lots of goodies for.... but I really, really wanted one!

The kits this month are delightful, I love what the designers have done with them, though I haven't recieved them all yet. Means I have something to look forward too.

Anyways, just wanted to check in and see how ya'll were! Talk with you again soon!

Good day..

at least I hope it will be!

Tyson has given up sleeping through the night and has taken up getting up 7-12 times. He needs every light in the house on to keep from screaming "it's not dark enough!" over and over, which actually means "turn on more lights!". Needless to say, it's been frustrating. Any ideas on how to tame a 2 years olds fear of the dark, and being along in his room, and of sleep in general?

In other news, more kits up tomorrow and a HUGE Sale starting next week, we need to clear out everything to make room for new CHA goodies. So prepare yourselves. All past kits will be at least at wholesale prices (meaning what I pay for them!) and some below! Please pass the word along to family and friends who might want a very good deal on scrapping supplies!

Looking forward to getting organized, and decorating my room, canvassing for the Kidney Foundation this week, craigslisting some old furniture and planning my Creative Escapes trip in Sept! We're definitely adding to the trip, and exploring some of Arizona which I'm SOOO looking forward too!

Some of these are in the albums to the right also, but I wanted to highlight them. Love Elsie and Noteworthy for most of these guys. The top left has my son and his great-Grandpa, the top right my sister and me, the bottom right my neice Joslyn on her 3rd birthday and the last one has yours truly in a photo taken by Lance. The flower on it is a vintage stick pin I've had in a spool of ribbon. Not sure if  it'll fit in an album yet.. but as my layouts are just all stacked up right now it doesn't really matter :) Waiting for the day when I get some extra money and want to but more of my American Crafts D-Ring in Modern Black instead of more paper. One day...

Long time..

It's been quite a while since I've updated but have switched computers and Internet providers which let me without much of a choice in the matter. I've been taking some time off to really evaluate what I'm doing and where I'm going in the next little while. Nothing like a little soul searching to get you in the mood to create.

I realize I haven't shared alot of layouts with you so here are a whole bunch, just in time for the little challenge on the Making Memories blog . What an honor that would be as I LOVE Making Memories the most! ( so looking forward to their Slice, and new Animal Crackers line!)
